Our Membership – both dues-paying and those in the unit who have not yet joined – is the very heart of MPFA. Our vision is to create community and collegiality across the spectrum of those we serve.
Our 22-23 goal: increase membership in MPFA to at least 60% of eligible employees
The coordinator/s would ideally attend monthly MPFA meetings (ex-officio) in order to facilitate the sharing of information.
Team tasks include, but are not limited to:

The coordinator/s would ideally attend monthly MPFA meetings (ex-officio) in order to facilitate the sharing of information.
Team tasks include, but are not limited to:
- management of MPFA website
- social media presence
- put together and publish regular newsletters (at least 2 per semester)
- maintain regular email communication to members and non-members
- organize social and informational events for the unit
- identify and organize other methods of communication (texting? phone tree?)
Grievance Committee
1-3 team members
Assist unit members who think that their contractual rights have been violated.
Training from CTA is strongly encouraged (it’s free).

- Investigation of the issue, reviewing current (and proposed) contract language
- Hold meetings with management to address violations according to the steps enumerated in the collective bargaining agreement
- Coordinates with the Board President, appointed by the Executive Board.
